I think most people would know by now, but for those who don't, Steve Irwin, m.k.a the Crocodile Hunter,(the guy above) is dead. :(

And i still can't believe it. Its such a loss to the world! He has done so much for conservation and he had such a lively personality. No more Steve Irwin means no more Crocodile Hunter on television.

Try as i might i still can't believe that such a vibrant, larger-than-life person who was SO passionate about his job and saving wildlife, is dead. And he was only 44! His children are still so young. :(

oh no. im still feeling very sad even though i don't know him personally. I hope Australia does something to commemorate him, like set up a wildlife fund in his name or sth. But even if they officially recognise his contributions or whatever now, its abit too late because he's no longer around to appreciate it. Oh well. Same old story. It's only when we lose something/someone do we realise how important it/that person was in the first place.

Admittedly, he did some dangerous things with his children, but i guess thats just some of his faults. In the end, compared to all he's done, bringing the Australian zoo to such high standards and helping people appreciate wildlife and all, i think we can overlook those tiny incidents.

And to think he died in such a freakish accident :/ I think i can say he was one of my idols. Rarely do you see someone so passionate about what he does, and he did so much for the world of wildlife. Oh well, i guess if its your time to go, its your time to go.

One thing's for sure though, he will definitely be remembered the world over.
